In the aftermath of the evacuation due to the devastating Eaton Fire, Kim Johnson, Secretary of Health and Human Services for the state of California made a special visit to Camellia Gardens Care Center on January 14th 2025 to show her solidarity with Camellia Gardens Care Center residents and staff during this trying time. She spent time asking about the residents, offering words of encouragement and listening to the staff's experiences. Ms. Johnson also met with staff to discuss the challenges faced during the evacuation and explore ways to support the Camellia Gardens Care Center's ongoing recovery.
